I am getting ready to put tang sights on my 40-60 rifle, was looking at Montana Vintage Arms at there sights. I see Taylors also sells tang sights, would appreciate any info on sights other folks are using. Want to use it for silhouette, need good sights.

Thanks

I have used many different sights from a number of mfg's and have to say that in my opinion the MVA sights are by far the best. I use MVA long range buffalo soule sights on my 3 1874 Shiloh Sharps (45-70, 45-100, & 45-110) and on my Cody Ballard 1 1/2 (45-90). I also use MVA front sights. I mounted a MVA marbles Tang sight on my 3 cimarron winchesters as well. Not cheap but darn well worth the money.

Hope this helps

I think the Taylors sights are made by Pedersole.  Quality is very good. :)

I FOUND A TAYLORS SIGHT ON EBAY FOR $50. I MADE A NEW ELEVATOR FOR IT AND FITTED A SLIDE FOR WINDAGE INTO IT.
IT WORKS REAL WELL.  WAS NOT HARD TO DO.

Hey Guys:

I looked at the MVA sights and I might get my hands on a set. I have a Taylor Arms reproduction '76. Its pretty much a Uberti with Taylor's name on it. Do you guys know what size screws I would need to mount the MVA tang sight to my rifle?

Thanks.
