With a 9 shot tube magazine, can it be used in CAS competition? I'm also wondering if this rifle could be loaded with 10 rounds of .38 special. Sure is beautiful, and more affordable to me than some other CAS leverguns. Thank you all for taking time to respond. Don

Yes, just be sure to load 38's long enough to cycle. Usually 1.5" works in most Marlins. The mag spring can also be cut some to make capacity work with 357's.

Thank you so much. I'll be calling my dealer to see about trying to find me one.. Don

Driftwood Johnson

Howdy

I found one used a few years ago and bought it for Mrs Johnson to use in CAS. I asked the dealer if I could see how many rounds it would hold. He wouldn't let me load it, but he loaded it and it took ten 38 Specials, so I bought it. Very nice little rifle. It has since had the follower and magazine spring shortened a little bit and it will now hold ten 357 Mag rounds in the magazine.
That's bad business! How long do you think I'd stay in operation if it cost me money every time I pulled a job? If he'd pay me that much to stop robbing him, I'd stop robbing him.

Ya probably inherited every penny ya got!
