I have a Belgium made Texas Ranger 38 Sp revolver.  I need to replace a couple of damaged screws but more importantly I need the cylinder stop as the cylinder doesn't stop and it also doesnt advance when the hammer is cocked.  I also need an exploded view of this gun.  Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry I can't help with parts, but be real careful. I had one of those and it was chambered for 38 LONG COLT, NOT  38 SPECIAL. Yours may be different, but I still wouldn't put any factory loads through it.

St. George

These were exported in the early 1930's.

These came into the United States well after WWI, as cheap revolvers were flooding the postwar market.

The 'TEXAS RANGER' revolver was a Belgian copy of the Spanish EIBAR Model 1929 revolver.

Your best bet - should you want to actually shoot it from time to time - would be to build up the existing parts by welding and re-shaping, and in the case of the bolt - re-hardening.

The hand may be in need of a new spring.

An exploded parts diagram is going to be hard to find - as are original parts, since these had little value when new, and the instructions only mention the loading sequence.

If there's a used parts dealer who deals in parts for the imported guns - another make 'may' be able to substitute for what's needed.

Dont know how old this thread is but I traded for one of these little guns in dallas last weekend , I brought it home an checked it out loaded up some 3.0 grain trailboss loads for it an fired it about 40 times , after about 10 rds thing started shooting about a 2 in group at 20 to 30 feet off hand shooting , very solid gun in my openion I wouldnt mind shooting a few matches with it only thing I didnt like was No 1/2 cock to move the firing pin back from the shell to rotate the cylender , I may have to build me some stag for it as well , I will take another one if anyone has one for sale or trade , they sure would be cool shooting about 8 grains of 3 f out of em , T

My 2 €-Cents: according to some old literature these pistols marked Texas Rangers were made by Fabriques d'Armes Unies de Liège (FAUL) of Belgium and imported during the 1930s to the USA in masses. According to that data calibers available were .38 Special & .44-40. They were described as a clone of the Colt Lightning with a square grip.
If the latter is true then parts for a Colt Lightning might work with some fitting.
FWIW.
