Fitting Transfer Bar

Howdy the Camp:

I have a New Model Vaquero that has the transfer bar binding as the trigger is pulled.  The bar appears to be topping out in the channel that is cut in the frame.  In order to get it to run freely, it seems I'll have to take some material off of the shoulder -- the part that seems most important for integrity.

So, my question is, how does one fit a transfer bar so that everything runs smoothly.

sent it to Ruger...they will fit it free of charge
call them first they'll send you a box & pickup label

Ditto....

The transfer bar is something they take very seriously. Call them and tell them what is wrong and they will take care of it.

If you put custom grips on it, take them off. They like to return things to factory new condition before returning.
