Long way back, I bought a big piece of Pigskin.  Really super soft hide about 1/8" thick.  I made a set of saddlebags for my son and  still have a huge piece left.  Question: would it make a decent holster?  Any examples of pig holsters, if it's usable.  Bill

Bill it's a matter of taste, some use pig skin for lining holster, your call. :-\

The only bad thing I know about pig skin is that if it gets wet it can really dry and crack if you don't get after it with some kinda oil.
Yes, I do have more facial hair now.

Like TW said but I personally would not use it. KT
Cheer up things could be worse, sure enough I cheered up and they got worse.

Also be aware that pigskin comes in both chrome tanned and veg tanned....be sure you have the veg tanned skin

Not a fan either BUT if I were to try it I would use it as an outside laminate over a good piece of 8/9oz cowhide, smooth to the inside.  Kinda exact opposite of the traditional way and if you like the pigskins creamy look this might work for you to have something different.  I am one of the very few people who like the look of ruff-out leather but you could think of this as a way to beautify a ruff-out holster!  Since this is on the outside, away from the gun, the tanning is less critical under normal use.
