Mako I need help if you would please

I got photo bucket . Now I am trying to get the photo to show up in my post here.


Would you advise please ?

Ho Mason,

Try this, open your gallery in photobucket at the same time you have your posting window in CAS City open.  You are going to copy the location of the file in photobucket and paste it into CAS City.

So do it like this:

• when you go to your image in photobucket hover over the picture you want to use and you will get an image like this:

  See the second selection called "Direct Link" for the cartridge I hovered over?  Click on the box to the right of where it says "Direct Link" and it will then say copied for a second or two.  What you have done is now copied that location and you can paste it in your post.
  
  


• In your post in CAS City your screen will look like this:

  In this image I have already pasted the location I copied from photobucket by simply placing the cursor in the window where I want it and then RIGHT clicking my mouse and selecting paste from the menu that pops up.
  
  Now Highlight the location you have just pasted.
  
  I have circled the icon you will press after you have highlighted the link you have just pasted as I have shown in the screen shot.  Be sure to highlight it first or you will have to manually reset the image HTML codes it it insert.
  
  it will now look like this

  (note I had to move the last square bracket out by putting a space in or it would have shown the image instead of the code.)
  
  
• Use the Preview button at the bottom to make sure the image shows correctly and that should be it.

I'm sorry if this is a bit rambling but I'm suffering a cold and I'm tanked up on Nyquil.

I was going to post this question in the "Longbranch", but since it is related to Mason S's topic/questioon I'll do it here and suffer the repercussions from Cuts. I have thought about posting some pics on this forum and others. It appears I need to use the service's of such outfits as "Photo-Bucket" and/or "Tiny-Pic". My question is are these internet/cyber-space photo service's safe, ie free from having them or others use without permission? Any problems experienced? Which one of the two is the better one to use? Advantage's/Disadvantages? Any info/recomendations gladly appreciated. Yer's Crow Choker

Once posted to internet, anything can be copied. altered and pasted elsewhere.

Hit reply, goto the bottom left, hit additional options, hit browse, and if ya got pictures in your computer ya can take your pick. If your pictures are too big just resize them. Ya don't need photobucket or any other kinda bucket.  WM

Thank you gents for your replies! Ya, I know internet communication no matter what form is 'ripe' for improper use, thats why I asked the question, just curious about the photo exchange sites and their reputation. Thanks Rickk for the input-how's the RCBS pot workin? "Tecnockricy" and me are not big buddies. I'm among the few who use it, but don't understand all of its workings, don't trust it all that much, think the world would be a little better off at times without its pitfalls, etc, etc. Hate the world system idea that ya can't plant a tomato, blow your nose, say Hi to a neighbor, pay a bill, etc without consulting the high and mighty computor--oh well-quess CAS forum wouldn't be if not for it.
