Here is Holster 4 and 5 along with a belt and knife sheath.

I changed the toe on the 49er pattern from Will Ghormley  Sewed with artificial sinew and the stain was a mix of Eco-flo Briar Brown and Dk Cacoa brown. The Leather is 9/10 from Tandy.

Once again, I had a lot of fun making these items and learned a lot along the way.

You did good. Looks like a dark walnut. Nice!  ;)

KT, TenWolves and Chuck thank you for the comments.  This has been very enjoyable and the results are better than I had hoped.  Now I need to decide on my next project.  I only have 2 black powder revolvers, but I was thinking about a Cheyenne or single loop holster as the next project.

Thanks Bob, The color got darker with an application of a second coat, I was very pleased with the color.  The first two pictures taken in natural light are the color of the holsters, the third picture was taken in artificial light and is not the color.

I have a gallon or so of very strong coffee ready to use as dye.  I am going to start a batch of vinegaroon this next week.  So I think my next project will be coffee stained and see how that turns out.

Rube Burrows, thanks for the compliment, it is really appreciated.

Johnny McCrae, Thank you, compliments from my piers and mentors is huge.  You and everyone else on here have really set the bar high for us new folks and the challenge really drives us to take our time and try just a little harder than we might other wise.
