Haven't posted anything new in a while so after doing these holsters for a new shooter decided I would post pictures for you.  They are loosely based on Slye's Lone star holster.  I would again like to thank Slye for his creativity and designs.  They are all hand stitched. I cut the two belts out the beginning of the month.  Then went on vacation for two weeks.  Came back and lined and sewed the two belts in about a week.  Retired on Wednesday.  Finished the shotgun belt on Wednesday evening.  I cut out the holsters last Thursday, dyed them Thursday evening.  Friday I sewed them.  And Saturday I delivered them to the range and he shot with them. I was a sewing fool because I had promised him I would get them done for the shoot Saturday.  So here they are.

Great job Johnny! The new Cowboy will get off to a good start with this fine Rig. Thanks for sharing it with us.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Very good work, Johnny. What a fine start for a new shooter. That's one part of his outfit that will continue to serve him as he gets better.

Congrats on the retirement, too. 8)

Got a question. Are the holsters open on the back bottom?

Thanks for all the reply's.  The new shooter has been out to 4 shoots so far.  The first one was a pairs shoot,  so I paired with him at that shoot.  We got a clean match that weekend.  The second shoot was hot and he missed 2 or 3 targets and had a P.  The third shoot he shot clean again.  This last weekend he shot clean with his new rig but missed the shooting sequence on one stage so did not get a clean match.

Red, good eye yes those holster are open at the bottom like Slye's Lone Star holsters.  It allows for the holster to hold the pistol without any friction to the draw.

Freedom, with every holster or belt I make the hand stitching gets better and better.  Just wish it would get faster and easier.  Thanks for your comment.
