I have a chance to pick up a Pond revolver in good condition and wanted to know if anyone makes the rim fire brass for it or is it possible to convert it to .32 short.

Look at the Dixie Gun Works catalog - they 'may' make an adaptor that uses a .22 blank.

Modifying it to use centerfire ammunition will take away any value it has, and good condition Pond revolvers are getting scarcer.

Last time I looked at Dixie they still carried the kit to make your own 32 (41 and 44 too) rimfire shells from 22s and the appropriate brass (part of the kit I believe).   Also there was a south american place making 32 rim fire for a while, but they can be too hot for a pistol that should shoot black powder.  I have a 32 rim fire, J.P Lower, made during the civil war infringing on Smith and Wesson patents.   Been in the family since ~1882 when my Great Uncle aquired it.   Toyed with the idea of getting some rounds for it, but figured keep it as is.

Thanks for the input but I wound up passing on it.Picked up a Manhattan Navy type 3 instead and no plans to modify it.
