( I used to write lots of cowboy poetry. I have slowed down a little. This is something I wrote about 5 years ago. I will try to dig up a little more if you guys want to read some)

I'm lying here on my back, trying to figure out what may have went wrong.

Could it be I lost a stirrup, or maybe the old horse was just to strong.

Some of you probable know how I feel, wind knocked out of you gasping for air.

Try as I may I cant get my breath, so I'm just laying  here.

I wanted to ride broncos when I was young, but my folks said that is such a waste of my hard earned pay.

But I'm growed up now, make up my own mind, so this would be the day.

I knew when I paid my money to ride, that this was going to be a blast.

I sure didn't know when the old pony started to buck that it would all happen near this fast.

He lunged forward hard with so much strength, it threw me back in the seat.

And I got off balance some on that second jump,  I knew the ride was going to be hard to complete.

He ducked his head on the third jump and that took me by surprise.

That pulled me back to the front of the saddle and those big swells, man they bruised my thighs.

Forth jump jars my teeth bad and kidneys they lose control.

But I don't have time to worry bout that cause fifth jump feels like he doing a belly role.

That little maneuver pulled right there popped my back and neck.

I knew now in my mind that the horse had he won, so I just brace myself for the wreck.

I think that may be when I lost my seat and went flying through the air.

Did 2 summersaults landing hard on my shoulders, then my Derry air.

So I am lying here on the ground as a crowd begins to gather.

I do not know if they are going to bring a stretcher in, walk out of here I would rather.

I fight back tears, cause I'm really hurt, but I'll try to cowboy up.
It is really hard, I'm broke and bruised, I wish I'd worn a cup.

Some in the crowd show concern for me, and some are laughing at my pain.

Then I hear the Wal-Mart manager say, we should have never put that damn pony ride so close to the check out lane.
