How many of you have the Euroarms 1858 Remingtons and how do you like them

Wolfgang

I had one . . . . the grip too small for my hands . . . gave it to my brother for Christmas a couple of years ago in a nice presentation case.   A good gift . . . nice to look at . . . and I know that he'll never bother to shoot it . . . so the small grips won't matter . . .  ;)

Folks with very small hands like them.
Beware the man with one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

I have small hands and they fit me real good. If he ever wanted to sell it let me know.  Phil   kwhi43@kc.rr.com

I have one. Love it.  Love the way it fits my smaller hands and I really like the lines of it.
I took the trouble of sending it off to Raven for an action job.  Well worth the money.

I like both of mine. Small grips and all .

I prefer the as they are the same size as the original Remy's and parts interchange with the original;s, and yes, I have small hands.
I like the fact that Uberti Cylinders(inner parts) will work in the Eurarms / Armi San Paulo(Eurormas before moving the Bressica), and the Uberti style conversion cylinders fit as well.

Luckily I found a new in the box Euroarms 58 Remy  and it is being shipped this week. Never owned a new one before, vbut several used ones. Uberti is my second choice.

I like their light weight pointability, small grips and dovetail front sights. I've owned 8, kept 4. Only one was defective (cylinder notches cut wrong and chambers misaligned). Popped a spare Uberti cylinder into it and was good to go. The cylinder gap on that one was about .009" compared to the others at about .006 but timing was fine. I still have two "beater" Euroarms 36 cal Navies and two SS 44 Armies.

Since I have 14+ guns, I've been called the Imelda Marcos of Cap&Ball. Now, that's a COMPLIMENT!

The Euroarms Remington is actually a replica of the Remington Beals Army.  Difference between the Remington New Model Army and the reminton Beals is the Beals has a smaller frame and the threads are hidden by the frame where the barrel meets the cylinder.  On the replicas there is as very slight arc cut in the frame rather than a straight line on the original.  I have seen, however this same arc on an original Beals as well.

When Armi San Paolo(Euroarms) started making the reproductions they were given A Remington-Beals to copy instead of the Remington 1858 NMA, and they did so. They also mis labeled it as a 1858 Remington, probably because others were marketing their 1858 Remington Repro's. I prefer the Euroarms 1858's as they are a bit smaller and fit my small hands, also like the fact that Uberti parts will interchange for the most part, and the Conversion cylinders made for Uberti with drop right in. Remington 1858 New Model Army is what the Remington-Beals became, the R-B was in fact the the first model. the NMA was the second model.
ZI believe that the R-B first model, had the flat wall, and the later one had the slight arc in the wall, that was opened up in the NMA as iin the R-B, it caught BP residue and would cause the cylinder to jam.
