I am pleased to report that I have prevailed upon "Captain Mark" and his lovely wife "Patsy Cline" (aka Marco and Petronela Fantozzi of Italy) to join the Grand Army of the Frontier.  I recently made Marco's acquaintance via the Victorian Wars Forum, and we have exchanged a good number of direct communications on a variety of topics.  One reason he and I have hit it off so well is that Marco has an enthusiastic interest in British Victorian military history, firearms and re-enacting, and is currently working on a couple of military impressions along those lines.  (I am particularly taken by his "signature line" on the VWF - being General Gordon's remark to his Italian lieutenant, Romolo Gessi :  "What a pity you are not an Englishman!"  Such a Victorian English way of expressing admiration for someone of another nationality ....)

Marco and Petronela are active cowboy action shooters in Italy, and their complementary interest in Victorian era re-enactment made them ideal candidates for GAF.  Here are a few photos of them .... You will note that Marco's frontier-related military impressions have hitherto been American ..... but I am doing my best to assist him in his current projects aimed at correcting that 'problem' ......   ;D   ;)

HI all!!

And thanks for welcoming us in the GAF!

Yes, Rattlesnake has been really invaluable in assisting me with information on British Uniforms and equipment.

Attached is me as Major Mark, British Redcoat version, at a re-enacting event together with "Wild Bill Hickok", a fellow shooter and re-enctor.

Cheers!

Marco
