I didn't want to add this to the bottom of my post re: the request for input on reloaders ....

Long ago I discovered that the shell plate and locator pins for my Dillon progressive do not have to be changed when switching from .44 Spl/.44 mag to 44-40. I discovered this by accident after I got distracted and came back to the press, forgetting to do so before switching tool heads.
It was when doing a clean-up maintence thing that I realized it. I ran it past Dillon and the response was - "If it works, don't fix it." I couldn't even tell you what shell plate and pins are in the press without looking, and I happily switch back and forth on a regular basis.
Try it yourself. But heads up! Just cause it works for me ... :>)
