C.O.W.S. Monthly match

First match of the year today!  Great time, great fun, shot the match clean!  Pony Express and I showed up with Krags and Colts, and He unlimbered an 1888 Trapdoor for a couple of stages as well!

We've got a new local rule regarding GAF in the SASS enviorment that I really like.  GAF shooters are allowed to engage the shotgun targets with either of their weapons, shooters choice.  It allows for tactical considerations, target placement and relationships  and weapon skill in determining to use rifle or handgun.  

Good way to start the year.

I'm kind of new to all of this cowboy action shooting so please understand. What is C.O.W.S.? I'm familiar with NCOWS but have never seen this before. Thanks and don't want to high jack the tread.

That sounds like a great idea to me!  I'm all for rules that are GAF friendly.

Actually, I was thinking in terms of being SASS friendly at our club.
