My moniker is my great grandfather's name. He served with the 2nd Florida Mounted Regiment in the Civil War. Afterward, he came home, packed his wife into a wagon, and was one of the first NorteAmericanos on the Frio River southwest of San Antonio ..... Kinda where present day Dilley is ...

I also use Skidmore's to renew my motorcycle chaps and jackets. Check out their website for all of the nifty things this great product can be used for....  http://www.skidmores.com/index.htm

I have made a couple non-cowboy belts using vinegroon. I haven't tried Lexol on them but I have tried both Skidmores and neatsfoot oil. I have noticed that the neatsfoot oill gives a little bit of a richer black than the Skidmores if used alone, but what I really found works well is neatsfoot first and then top it with Skidmores. The Skidmores seems to hold the richness of the oil in but gives it a nice sheen on top.
