Maybe a pillow ticking background?,with old pics, one of Billy the Kid as he used a lightning.Right now there's an old Wells Fargo Bank draft, and a pic i took out of a magazine of the movie, the leather belt, and it would look much better with a holster to match that belt, old soft leather i guess. If anybody runs across one let me know.I just threw this together to see how it would work, when i am finished it will be all nice and clean and cool lookin.

You will find what you are looking for at a local gun show.  There are always sellers with boxes of old belts and holsters for sale.
2-5 dollars will buy most any of them.
That is a nice job you did but I prefer my guns be where I can get hold of them.

It will have a sticker on it that says "Break Glass in case of Emergency"... ;D Now ya don't reckon ~The Dark Ranger~ would put a good shooter behind glass do ya??

better pic of belt.

A high school class mate of mine owned an architectural firm and at very work station but his there was a comupter.

On a wall above his desk was a steel shadow box painted red with a white decal on the front that said "IN CASE OF POWER FAILURE BREAK GLASS".

Inside were a slide rule, a drafting set, rules and squares and triangles, a protractor, drawing pens, two candles and a box of strike anywhere matches.

He found it there when he returned from a convention.  Seems his employees thought they were being funny, but he was sure proud of it

It'll be cool to see when you're done. I love those 1877's anyway. Be sure to post a pic. :D

Ticking would be good. Also striped cotton like engineer's coveralls or plain oilcloth would work nicely. Whatever you choose will be very cool.

Here's another idea, what about a piece of leather tooled to look like part of a saddle skirt with a decorative border? You could make it look like you cut a rectangle out of it and the border wouldn't quite line up since it would be on a slight curve. You could even put some floral stuff inside the border. Of course, you'd want to age it to look the part.
