First time loading 45LC with FFG Triple 7

I bought some FFG Triple 7 yesterday.  This morning I dumped out my Winchester 231 from my Dillon 550 powder throw, removed the small powder bar, installed the large powder bar, and filled her up with Triple 7.  I'm using 30 gr. by volume or 22.3 or so by weight, which makes for very little compression.  I'm using my powderless 250 gr LRNFP bullets, Winchester LP Primers for standard or magnum pistol loads.  Does it sound like I'm doing it right?  Also can I leave the Triple 7 in the powder throw for as long as I want or does it need to be removed right away.  I'm planning on going out this afternoon and shooting a few.  Somebody stop me quick if I'm not doing it right.  I've heard that Triple 7 is a little hot or at least it used to be.  I heard that they've toned it down a little from what it used to be.  Any truth to that?
Thanks,
Newt

Sounds like a good load.  It will buck a bit, but not uncontrollable.

Do not leave 777 in your powder hopper.  It will cake up.

Pulp,
So there's not chance of blowing up a Uberti Richards Type II Transition, Henry, or Scholfield?  Is the pressure reaching the max on these?  Don't want any trouble!!

Howdy Newt, and welcome.

Follow the directions on the can.  More info is available on their web site.  You should be good to go.  Load info given here may be right, but always follow the manufacturers rules to be on the safe side.

Happy smokin'.

Thanks Dick,
I tried to do as much research as I could before loading some and as near as I can tell I've done it right.  I ended up not shooting as planed.  I went ice fishing instead, so I won't get another chance to shoot till next weekend now.  Pretty cold out anyway.  Probably not a good idea to leave the Triple 7 in the hopper for several days?  My loader is in a little shop in our furnace room.  Stays nice and warm/dry there.

That sounds about like my usual load for .45 LC. You don't need any compression with 777, just take up all the airspace. Do empty your powder measure, though. My Lyman 55 gets a bit sticky operating just from the dust from 777 remaining in it.

Reduce your loads by 15% of what a charge of black powder would normally be.  If you would normally use 35 grains of Goex then use 30 (29.75) grains of T-7.  Keep in mind that T-7 will absorb water and starts to loose a little 'oommph' after you open the bottle.
