Sometimes on some of the gun boards I see a newcomer with lots of questions treated as an outsider. This has not happened here at all to me  and I just wanted to thank each and every one of you for the kindnesses you are showing in helping me learn to work leather. I don't have anyone in my family or circle of friends who practices this craft, and the books I have seen locally don't always answer the questions I come up with, usually late at night. Please bear with me and understand I don't want to annoy, but rather just to learn from others. Thanks again, Don

      I think I can speak for most all of us on this, what you said about this forum is exactly how I felt when I found the Leather Shop in 2006, and I know others feel the same way, we're all about helping and sharing information/tricks of the trade and getting new leather crafters inspired, because we know once you get started you'll be hooked, when that happens, your thirst for knowledge is going to be high, and you can get all sorts of ideas and opinions right here, like they say there are lots of different ways to do the same job, at least in most cases, so if you have questions or get stuck, go ahead and ask away, there will always be  members to help you out.

I used to be into truck pulling and as with most motorsports there are a lot of secrets. This is the total opposite in knifemaking and leathercraft, everyone is always willing to share in those two crafts. Probably cause there is no money in it, just an addiction

Tallbald, we appreciate your compliment. The pards here are as helpful a bunch as you'll find. There are no dumb questions and you won't bother us with them. We're glad to have you with us.
