For the times,,or the ones that shoot smokeless...do you ever use tumble dry Alox for your revolvers instead of lubing the groves of the bullet ? I shoot very little smokeless,, but was curious about the Alox stuff as I have never tried it.

Thanks

"dry" alox?....I seldom shoot smokeless in my western firearms...but in some of my modern firearms such as the 1911, I have used Lee liquid alox . It works ok for me by using per the directions on the label....yes, I use it on bullets with traditional lube grooves and tumble-lube ones as well.  Give it a try.

River Jordan

yes

one of my most accurate 45 COLT bullets is a LEE cast bullet with ALOX.
I tumble and repeat a few times and it generally will nearly fill a lube groove.

There is a unique smell to ALOX before and after firing though.
