Now that I have this rifle, 1871 Springfield Alt Spencer, I'm beginning the cartridge feed evolution, the first question is, do I need the center fire mode to make the rifle feed dummy shells, I have on order the center fire block, I have tried blanks 1.600 and they don't feed, before I make more I just want to make sure that the new block will have nothing to do with the feed process.

Thanks

It will feed Dummy rounds fine, there should be no diffrence in feeding or operation with the rime fire block to the center fire block,if there is youse the measurments from the original block to adjust the center fire block

If you are trying to use the blanks made from 32 ga. Shotgun shells then you will have a problem.  I could not get these blanks to cycle or eject from my original Spencer carbine.  They seam to work fine in an Armisport Spencer but not in an original.  Just my 2 cents.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a handsome, and well preserved body; but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming...."WOW!... What a ride!"
