From my previous post here I got a email from a ncows pard that he had a revolver that I may be interested in.
I bought it.  and shot it the other day. A couple questions, with a serial # 83xx, what year would it be? My
normal load won't fit, it's too long, Starline brass  biglube bullet sized to .429". I measured the front of the
cylinders and they are .427" so I am ordering a .427 sizing die. Hopefully that will do it otherwise I'll have
to seat the bullets deeper, as I did the other day to test fire it. The front of my 1st gen Colt cylinders measure
.430 so my normal load fits that. Do you think the .427 sizer will solve the problem?   Thanks

Billy your number is about in the middle of the Frontier production run; 15,340 produced from1886-1913. The bore is old school .44-40, go with .427 sized bullets.
