Thanks, WWE. i went one border line and wrinkled the heck out of the lower part of the holster to give it a Chuck Burrows distress.
I'll post some pics soon.

Santee,

The project sounds both really neat looking and historically correct ... I look forward to seeing it!

Well, Happy T-Day for me! My open top came in late yesterday. So, I am thankful...for my '71 open top conversion. Oh yeah, and my family, health, blah blah blah.
Here's the holster, plain and abused with some Chuck Burrows-style wrinkle action. Tomorrow I'll get some 0000 steel wool and work the areas of wear.

Did I mention the open top? :D

Santee,

Happy Birthday as well as Happy Bird-day!

The Slim Jim looks like it has bee sitting on some cowboy's hip for a long time, and congradulations on open top conversion acquisition   I have even shot a Richards-Mason, in .32 S&W ... and if it is anything like one of those, it is going to be a joy to own!

I used the pattern for a 51 Navy, and then added a hair for the ejector rod.

This is my problem now. I didn't add any extra room, and the pistol catches about 3/4 of the way down. Pretty sure it's hanging up on the ejector rod. May have to get the holster wet again and jam a hammer grip down there.
