Help!!
Somewhere I have seen a holster which was built to take the revolver either way round.

The bucket was sewn down the middle of the front if memory serves, but I cannot remember where I saw it!

Was it on here? Can anyone remember?

Hi, AE. The only ambidextrous holster I know of is on page 96 of 'Cowboys & The Trappings of the Old West'. Hope this helps...

The gun bucket also follows the described format BUT beware, they are bad about dumping guns due to their sloppy 'one size fits all' fit.  Another style that was reversible rt hand/left hand used a holster that resembled a Slim Jim without a belt loop.  This holster slipped into a Texas Jock Strap type pouch made onto the front of a skirt.  At first glance it looks very normal but one simply turns the holster part around to reverse its orientation.  Didnt Tandy market such an animal in kit form at one time???

GCR, where is it shown?

I've looked until my eyeballs ached and can't find it.

El Paso Saddlery used to make a copy, but I don't see it on the website.  They must still have the pattern.

Angel Eyes;  Picture a Cheyenne style holster but the seam profile is repeated in mirror image on the other side. It includes two trigger finger cutouts.  I tried to make one once, I don't know why?  I got the pattern a bit big.  My Webley MK VI fit perfectly, and thats a Big 'un.

Sir C, it was just an idea that flittered across my tiny brain capsule, and I have seen an example recently, but data retrieval of said brain gets schetchy sometimes! ???

Thanks for that, I saw your e-mail before I saw this so you can ignore my reply.

From what I remember, the one I saw before was made without the trigger-finger cut-outs and was laced down the front.
It was a very tidy looking piece of work and well made.

Thanks again for all your efforts.

I know the one you are talking about, guys it was on here just a couple or weeks ago.  It was wrapped so that the main seam ran down the front center of the holster and was laced.  For someone with a good memory it shouild be an easy search on this site, very recently.  Im thinking the holster may have been fitted and losses its ambiextrous quality if that is the case???  A unique and attractive holster.i

Thanks for the blow-up Lucky, but it has erased a couple of my illusions.  The real close look seems to indicate that there is not any type backing or lining between the lace and the gun?   HMMMM, now I'll have to think on this some more.
