I'm not prone to doing this sort of thing but this time of the year I must..............

We are thankfull for many things Lord, but please if you would watch out for our people in harms way, please bring as many of them home as possible to be with the ones they love and for those that do not return hold them in your loving arms.

Amen

My moniker is my great grandfather's name. He served with the 2nd Florida Mounted Regiment in the Civil War. Afterward, he came home, packed his wife into a wagon, and was one of the first NorteAmericanos on the Frio River southwest of San Antonio ..... Kinda where present day Dilley is ...

Thank You for your replies gentleman.

This time of the year is full of retrospect for me, Thanksgiving morning my whole family went to church including my oldest brother in his 101 st Airborn uniform. We went home had a wonderfull dinner and conversation. My brother left the nexr day and was shortly deployed to the RVN.

I didn't see him till the next July, lying in a box, I was all of 12.

Sometimes I just have to get things off my chest, sorry about that.

I feel the same way exactly and as a member of the Patriot Guard and a Ride Captain I attend many Military funerals and deal closely with the families.
Yet I ask that we pray not only for the safety of these young men and women but thay we pray for Victory. For without Victory there can be no peace.
Remember that when David went into battle he asked God to vanquish thiei foes and to lead them to Victory.
I cant help but believe that if we all fervently prayed that prayer then the enemies of this nation would not stand a chance.
