It looks like a old uberti that i have.

Both of my Navy Arms 58s were amrked the same way and both turned out to be Piettas.
I bought a loading lever for a Uberti from VTI and it was a tad too short. Bought Pietta nad all was well.

My Navy Arms was simialrly maked...when I purchased it in kit form. While finishing, I removed all the markings.
But, there is still a tiny "FAP" within a diamond shape, barely visible on the front of the cylinder, between chambers.
Vintage on my revolver is 1980 or before.

OK, based upon Mr. Adler's article, there is nothing in these photos that identify the manufacturer... :(  I have requested more info from the seller, but have yet receive a reply.

From the seller: "Under the loading lever it is marked C.O.M.-"

Which still tells me precisely nothing....

If you have the opportunity to do so try swapping in cylinders from guns of known makers.   Pietta, Uberti, Armi San Marco, Euroarms, . . . . they are all slightly different . . . If one from a known maker fits. . that you know who made yours.   :)
Beware the man with one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

Excerpted from the above excellent source:

"For Fratelli Pietta, another of Italy's leading
manufacturers of black powder pistols and long arms, the
initials FAP contained within a horizontal diamond
identify F.LLI Pietta; often followed by F.LLI PIETTA in
capital letters."

I have one virtually identical, Navy Arms, 1980, Pietta Cylinder, barrel, loading lever near perfect fit. On mine, the frame had an almost purplish tint to it before I refinished it.
The first step of becoming a good shooter is knowing which end the bullet comes out of and being on the other end.
