I'm a firm believer that one can never have too much knowledge or practice with firearms and that all of the firearms disciplines need to work together to protect the 2nd amendment. It is with this in mind that I write this post.

Last weekend I had the chance to attend an Appleseed Project clinic. I was introduced to this organization by fellow Nebraska GAF member Terry Lane.

The Appleseed Project is a volunteer organization that promotes marksmanship and knowledge of the American Revolution. Their organization is growing very quickly and most areas will have an Appleseed weekend within easy driving distance at least once a year.

While I am a good long range shot, but it didn't take very long to realize that I have a lot of bad habits that need to be corrected. A weekend clinic is $70.00 with women, vetrans and those under 21 attending free. No matter what your skill level I believe that everyone can take something valuable from one of their clinics. An olypmic class shooter who never misses might not get much improvement in shooting but will likely learn something from their history presentations. As it was, I saw a vast improvement in my scores by the last target Sunday, but it will take some practice to be able to put everything they taught me into place.
