I have a few Husqvarna underlever and was thinking of make some protection for my hand.
I like hot blackpowder loads but i dont like to get burnt fingers ::)
This one is sold but the rest look the same, only longer barrels

A good leather glove should help with that.

A leather glove with the tips of the index, middle fingers and thumb cut off is the ticket. You can use the tips of your fingers and thumb for fine motor skills and hang on to the hot barrel too.

I've got a nice clean pair cut like that I use for hand sewing too.

This was a topic from a while back over on the WIRE and might still be searchable.  If memory serves me right it was linked to a picture that reminded me of the commercial lace-on leather walking stick handle wraps.

There's a commercial item available for exactly this purpose.  It is a little leather thingie, lined inside with aluminum that slides down over the underside of the barrels.  I think you can readily get these from some outfit like Midway.  I think Galco, the gunleather maker does make these too.  Anyway, start looking: I'm sure you'll find it.

EDIT
Okay, I found it.
Try MidwayUSA (I do not endorse these people).  It is out of stock there right now, but you get the idea.
Go to www.midwayusa.com and query the item#:  662224.  Read the reviews; it got 3 out of 5 stars, which is mediocre.

Also, for CAS purposes, a hand-made lace-on item might be better.

That underlever might get in the way of most wraps.  A glove just might be the best ticket.
Cool shotty too by the way.
