My Stevens "Buffalo Rifle"

I dragged along this little Stevens .22 Target Musket I picked up a couple of years ago from the estate of an active BPCR shooter I knew who'd gone to his final reward.  (I'd like to think I cherish this little rifle as much as he most likely did)

This little rifle is so much fun to shoot and is such a tack driver, it makes me wonder WHY nothing like this is built today?  A trigger to die for (I'm sure it came that way) and just great accuracy.

Of course it's not a real Buffalo Rifle, but this forum was the closest thing I could think of to include it in.

Those are neat little rifles. I owned one years ago but had to sell it when I was on disability.
Just the other day, I disarmed an older Gentleman who was shooting a skunk in his backyard. His gun was a very old .22 RF Remington Rolling Block. One day I'd like to look it over a little bit more but I want to let him settle down before I show up on his porch. And yes I let him keep the rifle and didn't file any kinda charges. I understood why he was doing what he did.
