TSP=Tri sodium phosphate.  The stuff is an industrial cleaner.  I can't buy it in Wisconsin but I did find it on line and bought several boxes of it.  My bride likes it in the dishwasher and cloths wash machine.  1 tea spoon in a gallon of tumbling fluid mix works for me.

Phosphates have been legislated out of existence here in Wisconsin.  TSP puts phosphate back where it belongs.

In the dishwasher????

Yup, in the dish washer, cloths washer and in my brass tumbler.  It's perfectly safe used as directed.  Very effective also.

Leave it black, it doesn't hurt anything. Or tumble it until it's shiny again. I don't worry much at all about my revolver brass, I do shoot nickel plated stuff in my rifle, it makes things easier for the brass pickers. Other than that, it doesn't matter.

4 Fingers,
you don't really need to do anything. So long as the cases do not have any grit or dirt on them, there is no problem.
What sort of tumbler have you got ?. I have one of the Lyman ones that had the small straight walled buckets that was designed for wet tumbling and it works a treat except for the low number of cases at a time.

You could also think about getting vibratory cleaners from a couple of places in Sydney.
1. Australian Jewelry Supplies (this one was recommended by the gent at Silverton that does the coin cutting) and I would advise the 'C' model as it can hold more than the 'B' even with the extra buckets (you can piggy-back an extra 2 but the capacity is still light on)
2. House of Jewelry in York St. They have the rotary type as well as media. I got some stainless steel media from them and use it from time to time.

Are you going to Tamworth for the Pat Garret ?????. If so, look me up and I can go over a few things with you, but as has already been stated, you don't really need to do anything, so long as they are clean.
