1873 Winchester - Pin diameters

Hi all!

I'm looking at improving the fit between the 2 toggle link pins (front/rear) and the lever pin to their respective mating parts of the links and bolt (original 1873 rifle). Since I don't have a lathe (not yet anyway), I'm investigating possible use of VTI replacement parts for the Uberti 1873. If anyone has purchased / measured thier pin diameters on either the replacements or their in-service rifle, I'd be happy to hear what diameter these pins are. If I'm lucky, they'd be larger than my original.

On an original, the front/rear link pins are the same diameter & length.....(until they wear).

Plan "B" is to buy oversize dowel pins from the hardware store and work these down the hard way (electric drill & emory paper), but there may be an easier way.

BTW, for those curious, the sloppy fit between the pins/holes has made the action a bit harder to cycle. It's been getting worse over the past few years and is (so far) the only detrimental effect I see from routine CAS / recreational use. My rifle was made in 1883.

Thanks!
