buying guns

I am new to this forum and I do have a question , or two .
I live in northern Indiana and have tried to buy a Uberti or Cimarron 357 mag. at several shops in the area,
[Peru, Wabash, Logansport, Kokomo] nobody has these guns in stock and are not willing to order them.
If there are any cowboy shooters in this area, where do you buy your guns & ammo. ?
I am interested in doing cowboy shooting , are there any clubs in Indiana ?

Howdy Luckyd and welcome. Plenty of good folks and 17 clubs in Indiana, Cutter's Raiders is the one I've been to, lotta fun. Go to as many matches as you can and introduce youself to the match director. Talk to folks and handle a bunch of different firearms before you buy. If your gonna buy Uberti may I suggest Taylors, or if you want them already slicked up Cody's Cowboy Shop, great customer service. For a little extra money the USFA Rodeo, and Rodeo II from Longhunter are hard to beat. Good Luck.

 May I suggest you look into the Gunbrokers web site. I have purchased a few weapons that way and the process can save you money if you watch what you are doing. One of the services  they have is a place for a buyer to find a FFL to recieve an incoming weapon which is a must. The seller ads will state their shipping fee. There are buy now and regular auctions. You will need to prearrange with a local FFL to recieve a weapon. They will charge a fee 20.00 to 30.00 is a typical fee. Even if you want to buy direst from Tayor's, Cimmaron  etc you will need a local FFL to finish the transaction and the list at Gunbrokers will assist you. Lastly looking at the auctions on Gunbroker will give you a good idea of what the going rate is. Also buying on line will most likely save you the sales tax on a purchase.
