Irish Dave

Don't get to post as much as I'd like these days, but thought I'd add a photo or two of some items I've been working on lately.

First is a set of gull or "dove" wing straps I made up this week in a modified fish scale design as a door prize for the NCOWS Nationals next week in Evansville, IN:

Then there's this pair of shoulder rigs (right and left hand) for a customer in NE.
These fit 5.5" R-M conversions.

Thanks for taking a look.

I wish I could go to NCOWS meet next week! Just can't swing the cost right now! To many irons in the fire that need my finances more! If ya see Trap Torrance down there Dave, tell em Tim said hey!

As always Dave, your work speaks for itself, very professional, and beautiful at the same time your customer in NE should be a happy pard for sure, and any one that gets those spur straps will also be happy, beautiful work all around Dave. ::)

Thankee kindly, pards, for the nice words.

1) Gun Butcher: Well, kinda like a belt actually. I set them up to fit the average foot/boot and make that the center hole. Then add one bigger and one smaller. Generally works out fine that way.
2) Amin: I'm sorry you can't make it, too. Would be nice to chat in person. I'm sure I'll see Trap and will say "howdy" for you.
3) 10W: As always, many thanks for the kindnesses.
4) GunClick: Actually, folks tell me they're very comfortable. I made a few for myself and have to agree with them (if I do say so myself.  ;) ) The part I like best is that they actually position the revolver where it should go -- in the hollow between the arm and chest, when your arm is at your side. And they conceal nicely there too when under a coat etc.

Beautiful work, Dave. Those shoulder rigs are really fine. The color is beautiful. The dove wings look good. Do you have a close-up of the fish scale pattern?

Marshal Will:

Not an extreme closeup, but do have this, if it helps.
The strap on the bottom shows the correct orientation. The top one is upside down in the photo.

Dave, you work is really outstanding. I love those shoulder holsters, and I agree that it's really great to see someone make a quality product to give it away; it shows real class!

Thanks for the great pictures!
