For the last three years I have used the usual modified 45-70 brass (rim-thinned,shortened) from Remington and Winchester with no problems.  Actually the brass has withstood countless firings and reloading. Last year, when it became available, I ordered 45-60 brass from Jamison. I have fired and reloaded some of the Jamison brass (20 pieces) several times, using the same dies, loads, etc for the other mentioned brass. The cartridges, with Winchester or Remington brass, using the same loads-boolits, has exactly the same point of impact and group size.  When I use the Jamison brass, however, the point of impact and group size are noticably different.  Again, I am using the same dies and components I have used for the other brands-brass (for years).  Has anyone had any "issues" with Jamison brass in 45-60?  Thanks.

I ordered 100 rounds from Grafs.  10 of the case mouths were so badly deformed I had to massage them with a nylon drift before they would even consider going in a die, two were ruined.  I lay that off on bad packaging, on who's part I don't know.  All I can say about the brass itself is the overall trim length is not consistant from the factory, some is under the min case length show in my data.
