Hello Friends,

I'm having the dangdest time coming up with Paraffin locally. "Gulf" brand canning wax is not as popular for canning as it once was in my rural Arizona setting. No one carriers it. The "Marts" Ace, or the box DIY store dont have it.

I find it on EBay but with shipping it comes close to 12.00 a pound :o

I'm thinking about fiding a paraffin candle  ,those "saint" type candles seem to be paraffin to me

Any suggestions?
Peace

Talon, I gave you a suggestion on your other post, when I went looking for the Paraffin wax, my wife told me to look in our grocery store, sure enough it was there, it's in the none foods section, if you can't find it ask the store manager to help you. but you can also order the blended wax from Fantastic Burnisher, if you don't get instructions on how to use your machine, I suggest you give them a call and they will be happy to help you, I use there colored markers too.

I found it here in Phoenix at the Fry's grocery store near my house.... small section of canning supplies.

Jeeperaz,

I'm closer to Douglas, we have Food City, Safeway, Walmart, a hardware store. Zero nada spoke to the managers also, Sierra Vista an hour away I will try Frys. Net search for Lowes and Home Depot and Ace Sears and K mart = zero also. Tucson almost three hours away will be my next search when we go there to stock up on supplies.

Ten Wolves thank you!

Albertson's grocery stores, Oregon, Washington, Idaho. I don't remember what I paid but it sure wasn't twelve bucks a pound!

Might try asking for canning wax, most people don't know what parraffin is. Can't imagine a grocery store without it.
