Great news, Pancho. Hope Kflach can make it as well. Want to see his new Remington!

kflach has been desperately wanting to go but is thinking that the weather is not going to cooperate. Frankly he's a bit upset because he had planned on bringing his cousin along - this time to participate.

Tell kflach to keep his spirits positive.  The weather lady says that once this bad batch passes over us, we should have good weather east of Dallas.  The bad weather for Saturday will be west of DFW.

I still plan on goin'.

That's why we have slickers &/or rubberized panchos.

If the KVC worried about shooting in the rain, we would have only shot two matches in the last three years. :(

I don't mind a bit of rain. My concern is that I'll end up spending 5 hours on the road for something that ends up getting cancelled due to local thunderstorms. I'm keeping track of the weather and if it looks reasonable tonight I'll set the alarm clock to get up tomorrow and then check the weather in the morning and make my final decision then.

Outstanding Match today!

If you missed this one, you missed a fun time.

Stages were well written based on gun play with the James / Younger gang.

At 5:45 this morning the weather.com forecast was doom and gloom. When I got the call from my cousin in Tyler that the weather was good, I must admit I got a bit... no, actually I was quite annoyed. However, when I heard how good the Peacemakers were treating my cousin as he participated in his first match I was quite delighted.

Thank you, Peacemakers!

I'm real sorry I missed out!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought that might be your cousin, kevin. A really nice fellow and we all enjoyed having him. Had a tough time scrounging 45LC ammo so he shoot a borrowed rifle, but we managed ok. From here on, I'm planning on bringing extra ammo for folks like your cousin. You also missed my Smith Carbine. Lots of good-natured ribbing and my time for six stages was a shade under 1500 seconds, but man, what a blast.

Pancho:

Thanks for the kind words. It was great to have you there.

I've still got another one out in Tyler who wants to come visit, so if things work out in June, you could see me, my little brother, and two of my cousins (including the one that was there last weekend).

...And I'm still working on getting my daughter out to a match, too.

Kevin,

Let me know when you bring your daughter.  I've got a full set up of .22 rimfire cowboy guns with leather and a .410 coach gun.   I'd be happy to let her borrow.  I know she's a teen ager, but she'd probably do good to start on rimfires rather than the big guns.
