We have 4 Cimarron Model P, old style; with several thousand rounds thru them with no problems.

First problem.  .  This was one of the son's pistols and he cleans them like he was a going to eat off of them.  Cylinder stared binding.  We found scratches across some primers.

Must be high primers on my reloads?  Nope!  There was a burr beside the firing pin hole.  Filed it off, stuck a round in the cylinder and the cylinder spun freely.

Problem solved?  Nope!

Tried to load 6 and the cylinder wouldn't turn!  By trial and error I found one chamber, when loaded, wouldn't allow the cylinder to bind.   Took a wire brush to each chamber and them a good scrubbing.  Problem solved!

Evidently the pistol has less of a gap between the cylinder and the back of the gun.  Leading? In the one chamber didn't allow the round to be seated fully causing it to bind the cylinder.

Second problem, different gun.  Hammer wouldn't' cock.

First stage at the last shoot is when the problem appeared.  So finished the match by borrowing one of the son's.

When I got home I tore the gun apart.  Found the sear bolt spring was broke.  Replaced it with a Wolff wire spring type (#32294).  Seems to work OK now.  Think I just might go ahead and replace my other one too.

Good job sortn' it out!  I've seen several Cim P's do similar things.
