howdy pards
its 5:30 Am here in laramie couldnt sleep so i found my biggest piece of scrap i had which was 6-7 oz not near heavy enough i do know that much from what every one has told me but i thought if i got this right i could use it to make the template for the real one my question is is this lookin right from the pics ive seen it looks ok but i want profesionall help so HELLLLLLLP LOL

Looks like a good start.. here is the one I put in earlier this week..  I used much heavier leather in mine, but I do know that some guys ues chap leather for theres... (of course those are the guys that screw there conchos on too.. )

what kinda tacks are you guys using ive got some but dont know if there the right thing

went got a scrap piece of skirt leather this morning to play with making  the gullet heres the piece so far
what do ya think so far  any help wouldbe great

Looks like you got'er in there good and tight and well molded. Thats the main thing. Didya skive back the edges a fur piece so's you won't have a lump when you put on the cover for the swells?
