Yes JD, definitely get the WG Cheyenne Holster pattern.  It is a two thumbs up and I modified it slightly at the mouth for use as a Slim Jim also.  I like its fit better than the Slim Jim series and this gives one a two-fer.  As I understand it the Cheyenne evolved from the basic Mexican loop over a few years period and the one you show looks very much like some of the pictures I have seen of the earlier Mexican Loop style.  One last thought, another good set of patterns can be found with the DVD offered by Dusty Johnson at Pleasant Vally Saddle Shop.  They tend to be a bit large due to being a generic 'one size fits all' but still nice and the video is a winner with some good basic instructions.  He also does one on building your first set of custom chaps that I learned from.
