I finally ordered my Spencer carbine in 45 Colt. I don't have any experience at all with Spencers, but they are just too cool not to want one. Could anyone give me some advice on what I might need to watch out for? It is a new 45 Colt Armi Sport Carbine imported by Taylors. Thanks a bunch!

Took delivery of my Cimarron Spencer Carbine .45LC today.  Let the fun begin!  Shooting this weekend with Texican Rangers.  Spencer will not be my main match riflle, but I will find a way at least to shoot a few rounds to start to get the feel of a Spencer.  That way I will be a legitimate member of the Spencer Shooting Society.

Shot my new Spencer today.  I felt a little awkward and need to deal with the 20 lbs trigger pull, but what fun!  I have read the material here at SSS about modifications, etc.  While I am pretty handy, I am not inclined to start grinding on the sprinigs of a brand new rifle.  Confess I have not searched for the answer to this question, but who are the folks recommended for gunsmithing a Spencer repro?  Thanks in advance.
