Guys I just got a '76 Cimarron/Uberti in .45-60 and am trying to decide which dies to buy.  I had pretty well sworn off Lee dies from past experiece that they over worked the case necks in a couple of other calibers I load for, but I notice in other theads that several of you use them.

I don't mind spending money on good dies, but I don't mind saving a little if the Lee's will work satisfactory.  It's a several month wait for Redding's, which are my favorite's, but I don't want to wait that long to shoot this gun.  Thanks for any info you can provide.

I have been using the Lee Dies with no problems.

I got lucky at the NCOWS convention last week. I bought a set of lee dies for 15 bucks. Gonna start shootin my original Winchester! Ordered brass yesterday.  Hope to have a range report soon.   Jed

Some of my dies are made by Lee.  I got a crimp die for my 45-75 from them and it works as it should.  I use their reloading dies for the same caliber.  My Trim and File die is by RCBS as are the majority of my different dies.  They are pricey but I like them the best however I have no complaints about the Lee dies either.

I use Lyman dies. I also use a Lyman 310 Tool with 45-70 dies for loading in the field (neck sizing only). I'm happy with both.

RCBS, makes great products and they stand behind them.

Just got my RCBS dies $185.  They reload just fine, but I don't have a bullet resizer in 403 yet.  Without resizing, they are pretty tough to chamber.  I havn't shot them.  I want to waite for the size die.

I got all kinds of dies, but for the Winchester 56-60, I went with C&H.

This will work fine, so long as you don't need to full length resize.  You can (still?) get a bushing so that the 310 dies can be used in a regular 7/8-14 thread bench press.  I personally do this, but you may want to have RCBS make up a full length resizing die based on three fired cartridge cases or a CerroSafe chamber casting and a sample bullet you will use.  That way the cases will be sized only as much as necessary.
Ride to the sound of the guns, but watch out for bushwhackers! Godspeed to all in harm's way in the defense of Freedom! God Bless America!
