Mason,
look at the guns in this ad and see if they are what you are looking for. Not powder coated though.

Never seen a powder coated Remington from any of the factories that make them.  Someone must have had it done to their revolver.  I must assume you bought it used.  If it is factory new, I doubt it's powder coated.  Check prices at a powder coater in your town and see what they will charge to coat one.

I bought it from a lady that won it at a major match. I'll try and take a photo here in the next few days and post it. the pistol is a Uberti and a very good one at that.

Lets see if this photo works . The front one is a newer Uberti 1858 and the rear one is the powder coated one. Both shot bunches.

Must be the "matt"  finish that is on their cheapy .45 Colt clone  (  Milleneum I think it is / was called )  Don't know why there would be a '58 with that finish.  Never heered of one befur . . .  :-\
Beware the man with one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

Yup, that looks like the "Millennium finish" that Cabelas had for a while.  Uglier than homemade sin, in my estimation.

I had a pair of 'em and stripped off the finish.  Here's how they looked right after I stripped off that flat finish.  Note that the underlying surface has been bead-blasted, and I didn't strip the finish from the cylinders:

Here's how they look now, with the addition of "aged ivory" grips, a pair of "antiqued" R&D conversion cylinders, and about three or four years of good steady use:

You may have some difficulty finding a match for your pistol.  If you give up trying, I'd be interested...

Regards, and good luck!

Does the gun look like the one pictured in the link http://www.cherrys.com/pedpics/S349b.jpg?

That is a Remington Pattern "Pedersoli Target" .44 Caliber Percussion

I understand that it is used in North-South Skirmish Association and is a very good shooter.

Here is the data from Cherry's website describing the revolver:

After the success obtained in the target shooting with Rogers & Spencer "Pedersoli" Target model and under specific requirements from shooters, we introduced this new target revolver, produced on the Remington model. The materials used are of the best quality, enhancing the ballistic characteristics of the barrel, of the cylinder and of the trigger set mechanism. The gun has been expressly "customized" by our crafts-workers and shooters, with the purpose to give the gun a good functionality with the very first use. The non-reflecting barrel, the anti-wear cylinder and the rifling twist have been designed to give the shooter the best chance.
