 Howdy All

I just finished one of Slowhand Bob's holster patterns, they are, like he said easy to make, and very functional, I made mine a little longer so as to cover the end of the barrel, and I used decorative concho style Chicago screw ends at the front, the plastic tubing makes for a good tension device, I also used 1" allen head srews with a through end chicago fitting on the back, I made a little bigger hole on the belt loop so as to be able to screw and unscrew the tension if need be, I really like the way it fits and hangs on my belt, it holds the gun close in to the body, and looks good too.

Thanks again for this pattern Bob, it's much appreciated pard, I'll be using this one for sure. I need to make the other one now. ::) ;D

                            Regards

Mornin' TW,
You have created a very functional and yet a very good looking Holster. Nifty design and a pleasure to look at! Many thanks for sharing your talents and expertise with us.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Slowhand Bob

Rod, looking really good, almost to purty to use as a concealment rig!  I can hardly wait to see what you can do with the western design.  I am sorry I missed your call the other day, I actually made it to the phone but apparently mashed the wrong button and when I tried to do the resend I got no answer.  I swear, this old f---t thing can be a drag sometimes and lektronics is the worst of all.  I am getting farther and farther behind on leather related projects due to other commitments but I do have a small package to get out to JD that might help him figure out my shot shell pouches.

I have recently talked with a couple of match directors concerning doing the vendor thing this year BUT time seems to be the critical element for getting back into something commercial.  Just started a naturalist course and kayak season looming to boot.  I never believed it when the old codgers used to tell me that you stayed busier retired than you do working but they were truthful.  I guess the wife figures I can not die until I get caught up so she keeps me booked solid well into the future!

Who wants to do a chainsaw party (Bandages provided) at my house?  I have two trees down on one of my fence rows, since the snow fell over Charleston, and most fokes who know me would tell ya that Robby and chain saws should be kept as far from each other as possible!  Do not ask me how two inches of snow topples a tree, WEIRD.

TW very nice job. You did Slowhands pattern proud. As usual your work is worth while waiting to see. Slowhand your patterns are great. KT

I appreciate your kind words, but Bob gets the credit for this one, as I've said before Slowhand has a way with designing, he puts a lot of thought into what he does, and the results are worth it, with all the great artist we have here, it's like a smorgasbord for great ideas, and all of you have planted ideas in my mind, so Thanks for that pards.
And Bob maybe you better stay away from those chain saws, and let the termites have those trees.LOL ;D :D ;D

10 Wolves, what a great execution of Robby's pattern. You definitely did the design and the man proud. I appreciate you sharing so many excellent pictures of all the various angles too. It's amazing how looking at pictures of holsters you may not be doing yourself can help you with projects you are working on.

Robby, I have faith brother that I will see that package, and I'm looking forward to it with anticipation and gratefulness.

TW, you did a great job on that one. I like the design for several reasons, one being the tensioners. Very nice work.

Curiosity question here. Does anyone see a reason Bob's holster could not be used in a WB match? It's not "Period Correct" but then neither is the super popular Evil Roy rig, and guys are using that one right and left.

Thanks pards for the kind words, Slowhand Bobs design is a very functional one, and I can see myself making more of these, depending on barrel length and size of the gun, this design should work fine with most autos.

JD, for SASS I'm not sure, but it would be worth looking into, good question.

Thanks Amigos for stopping in, and taking a look see, your opinions are much appreciated. :D

This is a link to my favorite make of carry holsters for serious carry of the semi-auto.  http://www.kytac.com/page11.html  If you look closely you might just happen to notice a bit of resemblance between my leather pattern and the .5 Model, with a bit of the Kytac 1 thrown in.  My boys are presently using versions of the Kytac 1 and the Rocket Lock-it that are approaching twenty years old but Jr. carrys his in my first version of the one in this leather pattern and it has stood the test of time well for him.  Though he frequently has used it for outdoor activities, such as fishing and hunting, it was made for concealed carry.  One last thought, Jr. has shown me a few draws through through the years (show off) that looked pretty impressive for dads project!

JD I doubt that SASS would allow such a modern design in BUT if you will look around the above web site you will see a plastic revolver holster also that has been timed at some phenomenal draw speeds.  It is a very brief design and the old ER rig may in fact have more plastic inside it than this one uses???? ;D  I have tried to transfer the revolver design to leather on several occasions and was never really satisfied with my results.

Does this translate to a justification for getting autos of many lengths so you can get busy? That's a fine idea, I always enjoy seeing your work.

Oh, yeah, when you're done with all those autos, send 'em my way and I'll take care of them for you. ;D
