me again wanting to post a few pics of the dove wing spur straps i just a got the pattern for from a good friend of mine

Bob, those are some sharp looking straps. Both styles look great

These are a pair that Rolliing Thunder made for me before I really got going in leatherwork (not that I'm going all that much now)

The big challenge for him was the size & style of boots I wear. These are size 14, and I just can't wear true cowboy boots any more, too many foot problems.

  Bob, those are both good looking straps and you are right about the number of different styles. I have seen some really strange ones in my life time.
JD, Ilike yours to, RT had to do some special design work for those.

I do need to know something though! I aint been here for a few days, and now today I stop in for a minute and everyone  seems to be makin spur straps! Did I miss something. That wasn't our home work over the weekend was it?  If it was I hope I can make it up without getting an incomplete in the class. I'll do like did in school and copy of you and Gun Butcher!  Great lookin stuff guys! I have to try an make a set!

Naw, you didn't miss anything we just see somrthing on here and its a good reason to make one. We are all just leather junkies
I have patterns and ideas squirreled away that haven't seen the light of day for 30 years and when somebody posts something the light bulb comes on and I go to diggin looking for that old pattern that I never used.
Guess you could call it "gettin around tuit.

Cowboy, how do you size them Dove wings. Are they kind of limited on what size boot they will fit?

thank you pards for all the kind words nothing special just trying to make ends meet hoping and praying my leather work will take of and ill start selling more buthe good Lord is the only knows
but till then ill just keep pluggin along
GB most of my straps can be made bigger bright now i just do what the patern size is to get the item out people can see the design
