Finally finished purse for Mama

I actually carved this for last Christmas (read that over a year ago) but never got mama in to pick out the hardware.
By the way that is supposed to be a Beagle on the front because we have one, I know you have to use your imagination a little on that one. 
Finally got the hardware, dyed, laced, finished etc.

This is the first purse I have made and let me just say I learned a lot about how not to do things.

But the key is Mama likes it!

Larrupn, I do agree with GB that you did a good job, and like you said "Momma Likes it" and that's the main deal.

And the carving looks like a dog, you don't have to use you imagination for that

By the way,  this was for my wife. I've been married for 25 years and have called my wife "Mama" since our son was born almost seventeen years ago!

I did make my mom a wallet last Christmas and carved a pekinese (sp?) on it for her.  That was challenge, basically carving a big hairball with a tiny nose and two eyes, I don't have any pics of that one and that's just as well!
