I just finished one of the heaviest and probly most challengeing holster I've done to date

This is one heavy holster.. almost 7/8" of leather at the seem ;D ;

W&C 10oz body lined with genuine Horse Hide and the bucket is boardered with 4oz rawhide.

I have not used the horse hide before but I can say it is very nice to work with! Old Roaney would have been proud :D LOL

Good looking design and Ill bet that bad boy doesnt collapse at the mouth when the gun is pulled out!

Freedom, that is one fine looking holster. If I might ask, is that entirely hand sewn?

Thanks a lot, JD

Thanks WC.

Yeah Bob, it is very firm..LOL ..

JD... I used my Tippman to sew this one. Some guys really hate the little machine but after learning to use it I have had good luck with it.  I actually use it more than I use my big 550lb Landis machine.

Howdy Freedom,

Great job! Very rugged with very nice workmanship! I made a rig for a mounted shooter a while back. They sure like that barrel forward cant. Thank for sharing this with us.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

   Nice work Freedom, that's a great looking holster, and should last a life time the way you made it, I've made a few holsters out of 13/15 ounce saddle skirting, it's a little more of a challenge to work with, but it does produce a strong and sturdy holster. I'll have to try horse hide some time.

                               Thanks for the look see pard

                                 tEN wOLVES  ;) :D ;D

Freedom, that's really fine work. Clean and tasteful. I like the folded over lining. It looks good. Thanks for the pics.

 Now that is my kind of holster.  Nothing fancy, just good solid workmanship. That ought to get the job done for a long time.
