Second post on the forum, my first was an answer to Slowhand Bob's gunsmithing questions.
Have a now cutdown Remy that I'm having a lot of fun working over.  Will post additional pictures as they become available.
I've threatened to customize this gun for years and have finally done it.
Cut barrel to just over 3.5 inches.  Rounded the grip and frame.  Reinstalled original sight and lever holder.
Just cut the loading lever and am working over the end of lever to install the latch.
Would like guidance/links to the following areas.
1.  Action smoothing how to.
2.  Refinishing options.  Found the CAS sight while searching and have a link to 'antiquing'.
3.  Would like to find a couple of how-to links/pictures of gun presentation cases.  I've built a few over the years but would like to find more ideas and perhaps more 'authentic' designs.

All assistance is appreciated.

When you guys cut the barls, are you removing them first or just chopping them while on the gun?  After taking a closer look I can see that the protruding end does have threads and wit a flat top I guess it would be easier to reinstall in the right position????

I cut the barrel with it in the pistol  http://www.drburkholter.com/cf4.html

But did recently take an 8 in. barrel out and put a 12 in. in.  Went Ok    http://www.drburkholter.com/cf19.html

Beware the man with one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

Just cut it while installed.  Cleaned it up with a small square and file.  Crown was done with a round stone for now.  Will order proper tooling soon from Brownell's to square the end of the barrel and crown correctly.
Thanks for a look at the presentation box.
