This here belt blade's fer our ole' buddy Shotgun Steve.   

6" differentially heat treated 1095 Carbon steel blade
Full tapered tang
Wrought Iron S guard
Fileworked spine
Mild steel pins
Premium Desert Ironwood burl handle scales.

8-9 ounce handstitched sheath with Chuck Burrows inspired carving.

Very,very nice job Josh. Gotta love that ironwood.  The sheath really appeals to me. Chuck has inspired a bunch of us but you sure pulled it off nice.

Glad y'all like it !  Especially you Steve !   

This may sound silly but I'm especially proud of the stitching , LOL.  Of course I always strive for perfection, LOL, but there always seems to be something that is noticably not perfect about my stitch lines.  A stitch or two that the spacing is off, a little wave in the line where there shouldn't be, or the big one- a flat out wavvy stitch line on the back side. 

I've been exprimenting with different set-ups while drilling the holes and at least this time,  even I feel like I NAILED it ! 

I think we all know how much fun dying leather can be, Ha ha ha 
Boy after the first coat of Dark Brown  Pro-Oil dye I was un-impressed with the result.  I was hoping to highlight the carving even if only a bit so instead of doing a second coat of fieblings I decided to go over the entire sheath with Eco-flo Antique gel.  The pucker factor was fairly high but it was worth the risk IMHO as the final finish looks great, is dark brown (what we were shooting fer) and gently highlights the carving !

The fit is spot on also !   I do thank my Pard Dave Cole fer teaching me how to get proper fit,  and what that even is fer that matter,  Thanks Buddy
