Bought a pair of 61 navies.  One iis a Pietta.  The other has a shorter barrel (7.5") and has a mark on the frame I have never seen.  The left frame face has a HS inside a circle.  Who made this?

I was thinking maybe High Standard; but, they only made Confederate repos of the 1851 Navy; not the 1861?  what is the date code on the frame?  Pictures of th emarkings would help.

Having trouble getting good pics.  The year is XXX (1974).  Proof is Gardone.  The (maker's?) mark is a circle with a capital H over capital S.  They are partially overlapped.  I think it may be High Standard, but I can find no information.  Went to the Replica Percussion Revolver Collector's Association page, but nothing there.  Seems I saw a site that gave a list of all of the different manufacturers that had been identified?

I checked the High Standard web pages and the only C&Bs they listed were the Confederate repros.  Send Jim Davis over at RPRCA an email/PM, he'll probably know.

Here are pics of the maker's (?) mark and date code.  Guy I got it from said it came from Cabellas in a Pietta 61 box in 2008.  I think an earlier customer pulled a switcharoo.

Jim Davis IDed the gun as an ASM.  The HS is a dealer/importer stamp as yet unidentified.
