I need a hammer for my Armi Jager single action, does anyone know where I might get one or one made.

Is your old one missing? Old hammer notches can be welded up to repair a hammer.

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me. The hammer is not missing, some idiot filed off some of the notches. How would I go about welding them back? I don't have anything to compare this with. I have a friend who owns an engineering company they have a welder who could do this for me but I wouldn't know what to tell him to do.

I use a tig torch and 4130 rod which can be hardened. Have done more than a few old Colts. Would need the pistol to make sure it times right.

I had one several years ago and contacted EMF as they were the importers. They said these folks bought all the parts when they (EMF) switched suppliers to ASM. They did have the part, firing pin, that I needed at the time.

I had a rifle sent from overseas once and sent it back after repair. Don't know about sending a pistol. USPS says it has to go between dealers, UPS says overnight. I would think customs would be more of a problem. The frame is considered a firearm, any other parts are just parts. Other countrys have their own rules.
