Google "British Western Shooting Society" and look in the message board.  Not very far back.  Found it by accident. Don't know exactly where to guide you.  You might try this:  www.tonywilk.co.uk/info/antifoul.html  What they do is mill a 10mm recess about 10 mm deep in the front of cyl where the pin is and insert a brass bushing that sticks out some.  Requires filing the rear of the frame below the barrel.  Puts the cyl pin opening slightly ahead of the cyl. frame gap.

Happy Holidays and Fellicitations:

I believe you will find a lengthy discussion of the "Remington Cylinder Bushing", aka "Remington Gas Ring"
here:
http://www.cascity.com/forumhall/index.php/topic,18133.0.html

both of our esteemed colleagues Pettifogger and Flint have done these additions in order to minimize fouling on the cylinder face/pin.

one can find more on such modifications on Flints page here: http://flints-shop.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=5&Itemid=8

hope this helps
